UH / Rice On-Site Interlibrary Loan

For UH users

Approved users may borrow materials directly from Fondren Library at Rice University

• Visit the MD Anderson Library Service Desk for authorization before visiting Rice
• Allow 1 business day for approval
• Upon approval, user may borrow up to 4 items from Rice’s Fondren Library
• Items are loaned for 12 weeks; renewals are not allowed
• Return materials to MD Anderson Library at UH

On-site interlibrary loan is most appropriate when an item is only owned by Fondren Library. If possible, UH users should request desired materials via interlibrary loan before borrowing directly from Rice.

For Rice users

Approved users may borrow materials from MD Anderson Library or Architecture & Art Library at UH Libraries

• Users must obtain approval from Rice before visiting UH Libraries
• Upon approval from Rice, users may borrow up to 4 items from UH Libraries
• Users must present valid Rice ID
• Items are loaned for 12 weeks; renewals are not allowed
• Return materials to Fondren Library at Rice
