Places to Study
There are group study rooms, individual study carrels, computers labs, and other spaces to study in the Libraries.
MD Anderson Library
The main library has group rooms, individual rooms, computer labs, as well as popular spaces for relaxed or focused studying.
Group study rooms
There are over 40 group study rooms in the library, available by reservation or first-come-first-serve.
Individual study carrels
There are over 100 carrels for individual study available in the main library. Rooms are also available for faculty use only.
There are 2 computer labs in the main library with over 50 desktop computers total. A CougarNet account is required for use. Computer labs in MD Anderson Library also have group spaces and study rooms.
Leisure Reading Room
Located on the first floor of MD Anderson Library, across from the Service Desk.
Includes popular magazines, new titles, soft seating and couches.
Architecture & Art Library
The Architecture & Art Library primarily serves students and faculty in the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture.
There are 12 Windows desktop computers in the Architecture & Art Library. A CougarNet account is required for use.
The Music Library primarily serves students and faculty in the Moores School of Music.
Group study room: Music Library Beta Space
The Music Library Beta Space provides a multi-purpose study space geared towards performing arts students. Learn more or reserve time in the Beta Space.
There are 12 Windows desktop computers in the Music Library. A CougarNet account is required for use.
The Optometry Library serves students and faculty in the College of Optometry.
There are 36 Windows desktop computers in the Optometry Library. These are reserved for students and faculty in the College of Optometry only.
There are 3 Windows desktop computers for public use.
