Libraries Rising: Enriching Conversations is a speaker series hosted by the University of Houston Libraries which launched in 2016, presenting thought leaders from diverse disciplines to discuss bold ideas in teaching, learning, and discovery. Talks are held in the MD Anderson Library Elizabeth D. Rockwell Pavilion and are open to all members of the campus community and the general public.

HathiTrust is an organization that includes over 110 academic and research institutions working to transform scholarship and research through the building of a digital library collection that holds nearly 14 million volumes. Furlough’s talk highlights HathiTrust’s services and its major programs focused on shared print, computational research, and federal documents. This update focused on how the University of Houston and other Texas libraries can build on HathiTrust for their own needs.
