Accessible space

A distraction-free study area is available in MD Anderson Library, room 106-D.

Features include

  • Three Optelec Spectrum text magnifiers with variable color for text and background
  • Computer terminal with wide-screen monitor and CougarNet access
  • Kurzweil 1000 software and scanner

Computers

There are 6 computers in MD Anderson Library equipped with assistive technology.

Features include

  • 22 inch wide monitors with removable privacy films
  • Adjustable-height desks
  • Special computer mouse designed for limited hand mobility
  • ZoomText (software for screen magnification)
  • Dragon Naturally Speaking speech-to-text software

Please ask a library staff member for help in locating the assistive technology computers.

A CougarNet is required to use library computers. If you do not have a CougarNet account, visit the Service Desk to ask for a guest account.
