Access online resources
To access online resources (e.g. databases, articles) while off campus, you will be asked to log in with your CougarNet account.
Once you log in, you will be redirected to the online resource you selected.
You must be a current student, faculty, or staff.
Change Google Scholar preferences
You can set your preferences in Google Scholar so that you are affiliated with the University of Houston by default.
After changing your settings, you will be asked to login with CougarNet to access UH-subscribed resources.
Add this bookmark to your internet browser to log in with your CougarNet ID and seamlessly access Libraries content directly from anywhere on the internet.
1. Make sure your browser’s toolbar is visible.
3. When you land on a UH-subscribed resource, click the bookmark. It will prompt you to log in.
Research guides are available both on and off campus to help get started with research and identify the best resources for finding articles and sources for a specific subject or course.
Deliver an item to any UH system location
Items owned by UH Libraries can be requested from the catalog and held for pickup at any UH system location.
On the catalog page for an item, select the Request button () at the top of the page and log-in to your account. Select your pick-up location to submit the hold request.
You will receive an email notification when your item is available for pickup.
