Librarian Affairs and Operations supports the Libraries’ internal and external enterprise-wide infrastructure by fostering welcoming physical and virtual spaces, recruiting and retaining talented employees, enabling professional development and grant activity, and assessing services that collectively advance the Libraries’ teaching and research mission.
Student Success
- Create a variety of customizable, contextual spaces that match student needs in alignment with how they learn, reflect, and connect
- Design spaces that inspire and are inclusive of neurodiverse learning needs
- Realign services and spaces to strategically center learning, research, and engagement areas in connection with co-curricular services
- Develop streamlined user experiences across all service points; leverage automation where possible
Nationally Competitive Research
- Develop a grant infrastructure to support librarian grant seeking
- Improve how we connect researchers to research support expertise
- Design spaces that connect researchers from across disciplines and promotion research ideation
Social Responsibility
- Promote health and well-being among Libraries employees, those we collaborate with, and serve
- Develop welcoming and streamlined employee roles, spaces, and policies in alignment with updated expectations, workflows and well-being best practices
- Develop a culture of learning, leadership, and engagement to enhance success of employees and those we serve
- Engage in user assessment of services and spaces to better meet students needs
