Article Galaxy Scholar (AGS)
Article Galaxy Scholar (AGS) is a powerful new tool designed to enhance article access for faculty. Available 24/7, AGS allows faculty to request select articles not included in the Libraries’ database and journal subscriptions. Requested articles are delivered within hours (often in less than 15 minutes), including evenings and weekends. To provide this rapid service, UH Libraries covers a cost of approximately $30 per request. If your need isn’t immediate, we encourage you to use the traditional Interlibrary Loan service, which typically delivers articles within one to three business days at a cheaper per article rate.
Who can use it?
AGS is currently available to UH faculty only.
Is there an article request limit?
Each faculty member is limited to 20 article requests per calendar year.
What journal titles does Article Galaxy Scholar include?
AGS includes this list of 124 titles (PDF, 115KB) identified from research priorities, new program needs, and citations from recent faculty publication.
Will additional titles be added to Article Galaxy Scholar?
If you’d like additional journal titles included, email collections@uh.edu with the journal title, publisher, and a brief explanation of its relevance.
How do I submit an article request?
Follow the AGS step by step guide (PDF, 947KB) to get started.
